ESTHERS Australia is a women’s health and support service set up to assist women at their most vulnerable times by providing FREE services for women of ALL ages. We provide; counselling, advocacy, pregnancy support, reproductive choice information, mentoring and referral services.

Our services operate in:

• HOBART - within a 50 kilometre radius of Hobart.

• LAUNCESTON - within a 25 kilometre radius of Launceston

• SUNSHINE COAST - within a 50 kilometres radius of Caloundra

Our services are carried out by professionals and mentors. We offer centre based and outreach services. Our perinatal program operates via outreach - we meet women in their own homes or some place that they feel comfortable. We provide our perinatal clients with a case manager and a mentor - a friend to do the journey with. This program offers practical, emotional and physical assistance to women up until their child turns 1 year old.

In addition we offer a free counselling and referral service to all women.

Our clients contact us for varying reasons, and most often they are experiencing more than one of the following: family violence, an unexpected pregnancy, grieving the loss of a child or post abortion grief, pregnant and navigating child safety services, pregnant and living with disability, isolation, no family and/or just needing a hand up.

No matter what the issue, we offer women a safe space to pause, process and progress.

Any woman, at any age or stage of life who needs support. We specialise in pregnancy support.

HOW We Help?

• COUNSELLING - we believe that you are the expert of your own story - our Professional Counsellors are great listeners and will support you to find the best answer for your unique situation and circumstances.

• MENTORING - a friend to do the journey with. Life is easier when you can do it with a friend. Our mentors are women just like you and me who eat too much chocolate, drink far too much coffee (or tea,) have their own stories of joy and sadness, and want to do crazy and fun and kindness and love with someone just like you…..

• IN-HOME-HELP- We provide our perinatal clients with in-home practical assistance. We come to you! Our service might consist of light house duties, help with meals and/or groceries, running errands or just making an awesome cup-of- tea … (we bring the iced vovo’s)

• ADVOCACY - we help the women who come to us get what they need. This can include but is not limited to, accompanying them to appointments, helping them to talk with someone they are struggling to communicate with, navigating the NDIS, assisting with Child Safety and/or court support.

• INFORMATION  - We provide education and/or information around pregnancy, parenting, mental health, community and social support services, disability services and reproductive choice.

Our services operate in Tasmania’s South and North and on the Sunshine Coast.
